ESSURE Lawsuits Claim Women Suffer From Auto Immune Disease, Pain, Irregular Bleeding, Unintended Pregnancies, Miscarriages, Abscesses and Tumors

Recent lawsuits filed across the country claim that ESSURE devices have injured women in serious ways, with some devices allegedly rusting inside them, causing devastating allergic reactions.

According to WWLTV.com, currently there is a Facebook group that has more than 30,000 women sharing their stories about being harmed by the devices. ESSURE devices are made of stainless steel, nickel titanium and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers and are implanted to help reduce pregnancies.

Some women claim after the devices are implanted, they begin to degrade when reaching elevated temperatures. In some cases, women claim that their insurance companies are denying them the ability to have the devices removed through surgery when they begin to break down.

The device, sold by Bayer, is inserted in a woman’s fallopian tubes.  The US Food and Drug Administration approved ESSURE devices in 2002 and more than a million women currently have it implanted inside them.
