Sadly, thousands of Americans are injured or killed in workplace accidents each year. Many of these accidents happen in industrial settings, as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is required to investigate fatalities.

Recently, tragedy struck, when a 55-year-old Pilgrim’s Pride worker was killed in a Mt. Pleasant accident. According to KETK-TV, another worker found the employee unconscious in an ice room at the plant.

It is unclear what happened to cause the man’s death, but OSHA is investigating the case and an autopsy has been ordered.

Should I Speak to an Attorney if my Family Member is Killed at Work?

While there are agencies that set safety standards when it comes to work sites, our attorneys can help determine if negligence on the part of an employer helped play a role in an accident.

If so, your family may be entitled to compensation via a lawsuit.

While money from a lawsuit cannot bring your loved one back, it can help pay for items like funeral expenses, lost income and pain and suffering. For more information, call us today.
